The Valley of Butterflies in Fethiye is undoubtedly considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Turkey. Butterfly Valley has been a protected area since February 8, 1995. It is located on the Mediterranean coast. You can get from the city of Fethiye (Oludeniz) by car and public transport. The journey by sea from the beach to the Valley of the Butterflies will take about half an hour. These places are home to all kinds of butterflies living in this climatic zone, including the extremely rare tiger, which can be captured only in summer, mainly in July or August. It is not for nothing that this period is considered the “golden season” for the contemplation of butterflies. So if you are suddenly going to visit Fethiye, do not miss this event.
