Dilek National Park
Description:
If as a child you thought you were a young naturalist, and as an adult, you did not lose your ardent love for nature, Dilek is for you. Where else would you find so many species of plants and animals in a single park? After all, Dilek is almost a local botanical garden, the concentration of flora and fauna in it is so high from almost all parts of the world - whether it is the Anatolian chestnut, which grows only in the forests of Northern Anatolia, or the Anatolian leopard, which is on the verge of extinction.
The Dilek Peninsula, on which the park of the same name is located, was even recognized by the Council of Europe as a biogenetic protected reserve! But the stunning nature of this place is not all the wonders you will see. On the territory of the park, in addition to all the above, there are two beautifully preserved ancient cities and one picturesque monastery - everything can be seen with your own eyes and even touched.
Not far from the entrance to Dilek, there is another attraction – a kind of “Wailing Wall” called the “Cave of Zeus”, and instead of notes, ribbons are used here. So stock up on desires and requests, and go to Turkey, to Dilek!
