Port street
Description:
The port street in Ephesus runs from the Bolshoi Theatre (4) to the Port Bath (27) and the port. Thus, those arriving at Ephesus by sea came to the city on this street. In the 4th century it was reconstructed and named in honor of the emperor Arcadia. The length of the street is 530 m, the width is 11. There are columns on both sides. The first building on the right (3) is a theater gymnasium.
It is the main trading artery of the city with countless shops, boutiques, jewelry shops, restaurants and cafes. It is always crowded, especially when there is a cruise ship in the port. Be sure to bargain when shopping!
