Port Side
Description:
Even in ancient times, the city of Side was a harbor, and prosperity in those days the city was due mainly to the trade of slaves, who were brought here by pirate ships. A few centuries later, in the second century, Side became a major port of international trade.
Modern Side, like many centuries ago, is located on a peninsula, at the tip of which there is a harbor. Here, as a tribute to the ancestors-seafarers who founded the city, hundreds of snow-white yachts and sailboats are located at the piers. Until now, the remains of ancient moles have been preserved near the coast. From the port of Side, you can now take a fascinating walk along the Manavgat River, admire a small picturesque waterfall, and taste seafood dishes in local restaurants. In the direction of the harbor are numerous narrow streets with numerous souvenir shops, and a picturesque view of the port of Side opens from many corners of the city.
