From the peaks of the Western Taurus flows the cold and mighty river Managvat. The river flows through canyons and plains, then falls into the warm and salty Mediterranean Sea. Cold and warm waters mix with each other, forming a “layer cake” effect. Since ancient times, people have used this place of confluence of water for rejuvenating and tonic purposes.
On the river Managwat you can go on a small cruise on a yacht. There are several types of excursions: some will offer to visit a small waterfall, others go fishing (there is spotted trout in the river). The Managwat River is also popular among water sports enthusiasts.
One of the most curious places on the Managvat River is the Altinbesik cave, rich in picturesque lakes and unusually beautiful stalactites and stalagmites.
