Istanbul

Dolmabahce & Bosphorus Cruise

Description:

Bosphorus is the soul of Istanbul. It is impossible to imagine Istanbul without the Bosphorus or the Bosphorus without Istanbul. You can fully feel this by walking along the Bosphorus Strait, which is its heart, symbol and stores many legends and secrets. In this excursion, after visiting the pearl of the Bosphorus, the magnificent Ottoman Dolmabahce Palace, we will make a fascinating sea trip along the Bosphorus Strait and enjoy stunning views of its shores.

In the morning after breakfast, we pick up the group from the hotel and go to the Dolmabahce Palace, which is located on the European shore of the Strait. The delightful palace complex consists of many luxurious rooms and is surrounded by a magnificent garden. The palace amazes with its luxury and pomposity. The interior objects of the palace represent a unique collection of handmade items collected from all countries of the world.

After visiting the palace, from the Kabatash pier we go on a sea trip along the Bosphorus, which divides Europe and Asia. From the ship we will see both sides of Istanbul, wooden Ottoman mansions of the XIX century, suspension bridges, sultan mosques, Ottoman palaces, Rumelihisar Fortress, Maiden Tower and the most beautiful coastal areas of Istanbul.

After a boat trip along the Bosphorus, we will take an underground funicular to Taksim Square, the central square of the European part of the city, and from there we will start our pleasant walk along the busiest street of the city, Istiklal. It is the most famous, all the time crowded street in Istanbul and it is really very French – a bright street. Istiklal is always flooded with people, street musicians, local youth. This is where the duality of Istanbul can be felt. During our walk, we will enjoy the splendor of its shops and galleries, look into its courtyards, walk through hidden passages, wander through the labyrinth of side streets.

Then, through the crowded crowd, we will reach the Galata district – the area of the Venetians and Genoese, where the first banks and trading offices of the city were opened. The area still fascinates tourists with its color. We climb the Galata Tower to enjoy the amazing panorama of the old town and the Golden Horn Bay and this is where we end our tour.
