On this tour, I will meet you at your hotel at our appointed time. I will tell you about the city, about the historical sights of Istanbul. We will start the tour from the Old Town and finish in the modern city.
Visit Hagia Sophia, which was originally built as an Orthodox church, and later turned into a mosque and museum. Next, we are waiting for the palace of the Ottoman sultans – Topkapi, which at one time was the center of Ottoman rule. After Topkapi we will visit the unique beauty of the Blue Mosque, it can be admired endlessly! The mosque is open and entrance is free.
After the mosque, the 1,500-year-old Basilica Cistern, or as we Turks call it, the Underground Palace, awaits us. With its 336 original columns, the Yerebatan Reservoir is simply impressive.
So, dear guests, are you tired? Then I can offer Turkish tea or coffee in Turkish. After a delicious tea, regaining strength, we continue our route through the Rose Park to the lively Eminyunu district. In this area, we will see the main port of Istanbul, Galata Bridge, where fish sandwiches are fabulously tasty. Immediately we board the ferry and go by ferry to the Asian part. Swimming to the Asian part, we can feed seagulls.
In the Asian part, we are greeted with open eyes by the famous Usküdar district; it is considered the most romantic for young people. There are several historical monuments and Salajak embankment. Among the monuments of greatest interest is the Maiden Tower, which, of course, is the main symbol of Istanbul.
Dear guests, for lunch we can visit a local restaurant, where the national dishes of real Turkish cuisine are very tasty. After a delicious meal, we continue the tour on the underwater subway. Yes! you read correctly..:) Underwater metro! which runs from the Asian part to the European part under the Bosphorus Strait in just 4-5 minutes, and it is completely safe!
Next we will see the Galata Tower and Istiklal Street.
