Balat Mh., 34087 Fatih/Istanbul Province, Turkey
Description:
The Church of St. Stephen in Turkey (Istanbul) is one of the famous capital attractions, almost entirely built of metal structures. The temple, belonging to the jurisdiction of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, was originally wooden, but was destroyed by fire, after which it was again built from non-combustible materials according to the project of the Armenian architect Hovsep Aznavour.
The main structure is made of steel alloy, which is covered by numerous metal plates connected to each other by bolts and welding. The church coordinates are 41.03194° and 28.94972°.
