The Istanbul Park Trail

To the east of Istanbul is the race track "Istanbul Park". It is one of the most modern in the world. A little earlier, the track hosted races of various competitions, but recently only Formula 1 series races take place on it.

The track was built in 2005. Its planning and construction was carried out by the famous developer of racing tracks - Hermann Tilke. Construction took a record short time - all work was carried out in 9 months. The cost of this huge project was 230 million dollars.

On the territory of Istanbul Park there is a race track 5338 meters long, a large main grandstand with a capacity of 25 thousand spectators, a two-level paddock and two seven-storey towers for VIP guests. The total capacity of the whole complex, including seats near the track and in the stands, is 155 thousand spectators.
