The Golden Gate of Constantinople is the main gate in the south and west of the city. Initially, they were intended as a triumphal arch, timed to coincide with one of the victories of the king, and the gate of the new walls of the city at the same time.

These gates were repeatedly destroyed by the attack of the Latins, but they were quickly restored. Today this object is very popular with tourists. Today, the Golden Gate overlooks the cemetery, the arches on the central and northern sides are inaccessible to visit. Some fragments of the gate, in particular, the decor, can be seen at the exhibitions in the museum.
