Ataturk International Airport

Description:

By the number of people transported, Istanbul International Airport is among the ten largest airports in Europe. Some experts consider it the second best air transport company in Eastern Europe. It is the largest airport in Turkey. It has two terminals: a terminal built in the 70s of the last century for domestic flights and a relatively young international terminal built in 2001. They are connected by an underground passage. Daily flow of passengers is measured by tens and hundreds of thousands of people.

The international terminal is comfortable for passengers, efficient in management and modern in organization. It is not too big, but for passengers there is a choice of cafes, and a variety of duty-free shops. There are ATMs, currency exchange, free wi-fi, storage cameras, car booking offices. Very close to the airport there are several hotels, which is very convenient for transit passengers with many hours of connection.

The airport is named after the local "father of the peoples" - Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, politician, reformer, the first president of the Turkish Republic. It is located in the European part of Istanbul. From here it is very convenient to get to the city.
