Thai Food Review: What to Try and What Not
My husband and I left for Thailand from Vladivostok at the end of November 2022. I want to share my impression of Thai dishes, and recommend what is worth trying and what is not.

.1. Pad Thai.
One of the business cards ThailandWhich we just couldn’t help but try. This is fried rice noodles with chicken, pork or shrimp, fresh bean sprouts, sour sauce and crushed peanuts.
I definitely recommend trying, because the taste is very pleasant, harmonious, everything goes well together, a fairly familiar dish to our taste, so you can safely take it. Delicious.

.️.2. Tom Yam.
For immigrants from the CIS, soup is quite common, because many cafes prepare Asian cuisine. But in Thailand, the taste is slightly different.
The soup tastes island-sour, it often goes a lot of seafood, mushrooms, tomatoes, coconut milk and lemongrass. I love this combination, Thai food is my favorite dish.
Council: Always ask that pit "note spicey" is not sharp, you are likely to make still sharp. But it will still taste milder than if you ordered a traditional soup. For our taste, soup is sharper than the concept of spicy about once every 5.

3. Kao Pad.
It is fried rice, often with chicken, pork or shrimp, with eggs, vegetables and greens. The rice here is very delicious, so you can safely take it. Some may find it a little fat. Be sure to make sure that there is no red pepper next to the picture of the dish or it is not in the dish in the photo, because it will be very spicy. I also recommend asking for a Spicey note.

4. Noodles and broth.
I don’t know the exact name, but it’s also an interesting dish that deserves attention. Especially in the season on the streets and in diners begin to offer noodles with broth (you can ask without it). You bring boiled noodles with chicken, pork, green vegetables and meat broth, with which you can water all this good. It costs a penny dish (somewhere about 50 baht, at the current rate it is 130 rubles), often served with delicious sauces. I, as a lover of sour, recommend adding vinegar to noodles or broth with garlic and pepper, which is on the table.
...5. Sausages, sausages, meat balls outside.

I do not recommend this food at all. Always in season and off season, there are vendors with carts on the street who offer sausages, sausages, meat balls and crab sticks. Fry it all in the same oil all day (and maybe not a day), it turns out very fatty. Plus, many sausages and sausages are sweet, there is a great chance to take just one.
It is useless to say “know suite”, because sellers often do not understand English, they will still put some sweet meat (although it is difficult to call it meat, it is rather some kind of porridge from waste).

.6. Fried chestnuts.

Mobile markets are very popular in Thailand, there is always some food. And often in such markets you can find fried chestnuts. Unfortunately, we didn’t have the experience of trying chestnuts anywhere else, for us in Thailand was the first experience.
Chestnuts smell nice, a slight haze. In taste and consistency, I resemble potatoes, only slightly sweet and slightly with a nutty flavor. Quite a strange dish, nothing is particularly combined, chestnuts outside unsalted (although it would be better with salt). I do not recommend it unless you are a chestnut lover.

.7. Sweets in Thailand.

I would, like an avid sweet tooth, advise not to take almost anything. The maximum you can take snickers or Lava Cake in the chain stores 7/11 - by the way, this is a local variation of chocolate fundan. You can eat cold, and you can warm up 15 seconds in the microwave (can be heated directly at 7/11), divinely tasty. If you are in Thailand, you should take it.

Sweets in the markets with something white. Unfortunately, I also do not know what the name of this sweet is, it is often sold in the markets, it looks attractive, but it does not taste. White is most likely a whipped protein, it is especially not sweet, but a basket of tasteless text. In general, something unsweetened and rather tasteless.

8. Morning glory

This dish is most often called that, it always looks the same, so if you see it on the menu - be sure to order. Generally, it's just the so-called water spinach slightly trimmed with garlic, soy sauce and chili peppers. Interesting soft vegetable taste with a splint. I highly recommend it.
