The city that never sleeps, Istanbul is a pearl in the open air, the guardian of thousands of cultural and historical values of Turkey and all mankind.

The most popular quarter among tourists is Sultanahmet, included in the UNESCO Cultural Heritage List, as well as the square with the same name.

The main symbols of the city are the Blue Mosque (Sultanahmet Mosque) and the Cathedral of St. Sophia (Hayia Sophia) - a world-famous monument of Byzantine architecture. The official name is the Great Mosque of Hagia Sophia.

In the same area, travelers will see the majestic and mysterious Basilica Cistern - a perfectly preserved underground reservoir (now there is a museum) and Topkapi Palace - the most important palace in the Ottoman Empire until the nineteenth century, now also a museum (there are Muslim shrines - the cloak and sword of the Prophet Muhammad).

The city must be seen from the water! From the side of a pleasure boat, ferry, bridge, you can endlessly admire the Istanbul hills, the silhouettes of mosques, listen to the voices of muezzins who call to prayer.
