Tivat is a cozy Adriatic city and an excellent starting point for organized tours of the surroundings, nearby cities and neighboring regions of Montenegro. From here, short trips and trips along coastal routes and mountain roads begin, which will allow you to see beach coves, picturesque serpentine, and medieval coastal landscapes in one trip.
In organized excursions around Tivat, participants are often shown Adriatic beaches and fjord-like bays, historical embankments and ancient coastal settlements, as well as views from mountain passes to the coast. Within the immediate areas you can see the characteristic sea landscapes, sea harbors and architectural traces of the medieval era, which are included in popular routes and educational trips.
The nature around Tivat combines sea and mountains: tiny coves and sandy and rocky beaches are replaced by steep hills and mountain serpentine paths. This is a great place for family holidays on the coast, quiet walks with children along the embankments and for active travelers who want to go on a short hike or a sea walk along the nearest shores.
A special place is occupied by thematic tours with tastings and meetings with local residents: trips to artisans of coastal villages, meetings with fishermen and small gastronomic stops with farmers in neighboring areas. Ethno-excursions around the neighborhood give an opportunity to get acquainted with the traditions of the region, and relaxation programs offer days of rest with a visit to local spas and baths in the nearest health centers of the region.
The formats of the tours vary: individual and group excursions, hiking along the embankments and trails, road routes in the nearby areas, as well as short sea trips along the coast. Local guides are valuable for their knowledge of the landscape and history, they create author’s routes through little-known bays, serpentine and coastal settlements, making each trip unique.
