Show me on the map

Description:

This lively and colorful open-air bazaar.

It is located in the heart of Islamic Cairo.

Filled with unique goods, from spices and perfumes to jewelry and souvenirs.

The market has been significantly modernized, but there are parts that show Mamluk-style architecture, with large arches, vaulted ceilings.

There are several restaurants and cafes on the market where you can relax from shopping.

No visit to Cairo will be complete without a stop at Khan El-Khalili Bazaar, where you will be transported back in time to the old Arab bazaar.

Shopkeepers, the smell of spices, the bustle of the trade, the items you can buy will make you get lost in the alleyways.

Test your bargaining skills by buying figurines, spices, souvenirs, belly dance suits or anything like that.

The market is located in Cairo’s Old City, near the Al Hussein Mosque. There are many shopping centers and cafes nearby.

It is most convenient to get to the bazaar by taxi, and cheaper - by metro.

Get to Bab El Shaariya Station (green line) and walk south for 15 minutes.
