Al Muiz Street

ooh Al Muizz, bounded by Bab Al-Futuh in the north and Bab Zuweila in the south, Cairo, Egypt

Description:

Al Muiz Street (Egypt, Cairo) is one of the oldest urban small streets with a total length of no more than a kilometer. Its main feature is the concentration of a fairly large number of Islamic medieval architectural monuments, attracting numerous tourists here.

The street got its name in memory of the fourth caliph from the well-known Fatimid dynasty. At the end of the last century, large-scale restoration work was carried out, thanks to which the territory acquired the form of an “open-air museum” or a pedestrian zone with coordinates: 30.16940100,31.44003300.
