About the company:
The Ethnographic Museum of Cairo presents the traditions and everyday life of the city and Egypt. The exposition of the museum consists of four categories, shown in separate exhibition halls.
In the first hall there are exhibits representing genuine crafts, industrial goods, works of masters made of wood, iron, copper, glass, leather and other materials.
In the second hall, ancient African ethnographic relics are shown. Here you can see weapons, musical instruments and equipment of dervishes from Bahr al-Ghazali, Darfur, Abyssinia, Northern Uganda and Somali lands.
The third hall has a large collection of items related to the customs and traditions of Egypt - wedding ceremonies, circumcision, public baths, smoking and others. The most valuable of them are colored glass from ancient Islamic buildings, interlaced stucco.
The fourth room is about the Suez Canal. The most notable object here is the diorama depicting the imperial ship at the opening of the canal in 1869.
