Abdin Palace Museum
Egypt, Cairo, Al Jamaa Street, Abdin Square
About the company:
The Abdin Palace Museum is housed in a former royal palace modeled after the residences of European monarchs. It is one of the most luxurious palaces in the world with 500 rooms. In the 80s of the 20th century, Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak ordered the opening of a museum in the palace building.
The lower floors are open to the public, where the Arms Museum, the Royal Family Museum, the Presidential Gift Museum and others are located. The upper floors where the royal family lived are designed to accommodate foreign guests.
Special attention should be paid to the rich collection of the Museum of weapons with unique exhibits, such as, for example, the sword of the Russian emperors in golden scabbards with jewelry made of enamel and precious stones.
A separate hall of the museum is occupied by awards of the rulers of Egypt. Here you can also see a collection of silverware and unique porcelain, rare paintings and jewelry of exceptional work, crowns of the pharaohs of the Ancient Kingdom, busts of rulers.
The Abdin Palace is used for ceremonies and receptions of heads of state.
