Description:
Wine rivers, cheese banks
One-day tours of the departments of the Ron Alps region
The riches of the Rhone Alps region are amazing and diverse: there are world-famous ski stations and water treatment resorts, mountains and plains, wine and agricultural regions and, of course, the capital of the region and at the same time the gastronomic capital of France, Lyon. One of the eight departments in the region is called Ain, which is where I want to invite you.
Woven in turn from many types of landscape, this department includes a flat part with 2000 lakes and artificial ponds, as well as the Jura mountain range, or rather its part Haut-Jura. Just as hills and plains, mountains and river valleys differ, so do the same foods grown in these places. Like cheese or wine. To make sure of this, and also please the eyes with beautiful landscapes and hear the amazing stories of this region, it is worth coming here and choosing one of the proposed travel options.

Once, in the X century, Benedictine monks came here and began to breed freshwater fish in the ponds they built, including carp and pike, linen and catfish, red pepper and nalima. One of the first known cities of the 12th century, Perugia is now the first medieval city to receive the title "un de plus beau village de France" - one of the most beautiful villages in France. Preserved in the centuries, Perugues reproduces the life and way of life of a typical French settlement of the XII-XV centuries. The city has become a natural scenery for many films, including The Three Musketeers. It was here that three versions of the film were shot: in 1921 and 1932, and in 1961 with Milena Demonjo as Milady. There are other historical films, including Angelica, Marquis of Angels with Michel Mercier. Here you should try the Peruvian gallets, the recipe of which was born in the 15th century during the famous Peruvian siege.
