Description:

Fort Lovrienac is one of the ancient medieval fortifications in the old part of Croatia. Officially it is called the fortress of St. Lawrence. It was built as a fortress for the defense of the city on a rock about 36-37 meters high. The fort is a unique layout of rather thick walls, has multi-level terraces and suspension bridges. Since the middle of the XX century, the fort has become a rather popular tourist site.
