What to see in Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik is an ancient coastal city on the Adriatic with a rich maritime history and a unique atmosphere of old stone streets. Traces of medieval trade, monumental city walls and warm seaside life are intertwined here: morning walks along the embankment are replaced by sunsets over the red roofs of the Old Town, and each street keeps its own legend and character.

Manufactures and facilities

Man-made sights of Dubrovnik amaze with diversity and beauty: the majestic Cathedral of the Ascension of the Virgin Mary, the main street Stradun with its stone shine, the Large and Small Onofrio fountains, the Pile Gate and ancient city walls with observation points. The list includes the fortresses of Ravelyn and Lovrienac, the Minceta Tower and the Fortress of St. Ivan, the Princely Palace, the Franciscan and Dominican monasteries, the Lodge Square and the monument to the poet Gundulic. Each building tells its part of the city’s history, from religious rites to defensive battles.

Natural attractions and places

The natural beauty around Dubrovnik is no less impressive: Lapad Bay with its calm coves and beaches of Lapad and Banje, the clear water of the Adriatic and the picturesque promenades attract those who are looking for the sea and relaxation. Near the city are Lokrum Island with protected corners and Mljet Island with a national park - ideal places for day trips, walks along trails and swimming in crystal clear water.

Build routes and visit interesting places

On our site you can see all these attractions on an interactive map: quickly find objects in the Old Town and beyond, read brief descriptions and build a convenient route for a walk or a whole day of excursions. The map helps visually plan the route, marking the time on the road and the order of visits to see the maximum in the minimum time.

You can explore Dubrovnik on your own, slowly inhaling the atmosphere of narrow streets and discovering your favorite places, or book excursions from local guides - professionals will tell stories that are not in the guidebooks, tell legends, show hidden views and help to make a thematic route for interests. Excursions and walks with a guide make acquaintance with the city lively and rich, and independent routes give freedom of discovery.

Come to Dubrovnik to personally see the combination of powerful history and sea lightness, discover your favorite corners and make your perfect route. The city is waiting for travelers who are ready to wonder, walk and come back for new discoveries - plan a trip, mark points on the map and go to meet the impressions.
