Sigurt Park
Description:
The museum, located on the territory of the Castelletto Park, contains memories of scientists and Nobel laureates who visited it: Zelman A. Waksman (Nobel Prize in 1952 and discovered streptomycin), Alexander Fleming (Nobel Prize in 1945 and discovered penicillin), Gerhard Domagk (Nobel Prize in 1939 and discovered sulfonamides), Konrad Lorenz (Nobel Prize in 1973 and founder of ethology) and Albert W. Sabin (the discoverer of the polio vaccine).
Another gem of the Park is the Hermitage, a small temple in the neo-Gothic style, you can also add the Garden of Medicinal Herbs and the Sundial. And the boxwood Labyrinth formed of 1500 bushes, hiding the observation deck, but few visitors manage to find it and climb. And these are just some of the attractions. It is impossible to walk around such a huge area, so you can rent bicycles or electric cars, and a small electric train runs here.
At the request of customers, we can stop and have lunch or dinner in the wonderful medieval town of Valeggio su Minchio. This place is located 3 km from Sigurt Park. Here, tortellini are a centuries-old tradition passed down from generation to generation.
