What to see in Luoyang

Luoyang is one of the oldest cities in China with a centuries-old history and a unique atmosphere. This city was the capital in different eras, there are intertwined traces of ancient dynasties, religious traditions and folk holidays. Loyan is especially famous for its peonies: in the spring the city turns into a sea of flowering, which attracts beauty connoisseurs from all over the country.

Manufactures and facilities

Man-made sights of Luoyang amaze with the scope and spiritual depth. Among the key sites are the Peony Park with carefully maintained gardens, the White Horse Temple, considered the first Buddhist temple in China, and monumental cave-temple complexes: Longmen Grottoes and Dragon Gate Grottoes, carved in limestone and storing ancient reliefs and statues. You can not ignore the Shaolin Monastery and the Forest of Talin Pagodas next to it, as well as an unusual Hindu temple with a light brick ornament and a dome - all this forms a rich picture of architectural heritage.

Natural attractions and places

Natural attractions complement the cultural landscape: city parks and peony gardens give privacy and colorful landscapes, and the surroundings, including hilly slopes and places near Longmen caves, beckon with walks in the fresh air. The forest of pagodas and proximity to historic cave complexes create unique trails for those looking for what to see outside the bustling streets and museums.
