Crimea ready to lift coronavirus restrictions
The Crimean authorities announced the lifting from March 1, a number of restrictions that were imposed on the peninsula due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
If the current dynamics is maintained, some restrictions imposed due to the coronavirus pandemic will be lifted from March. The head of the republic Sergey Aksenov said that the work of entrepreneurs in the field of leisure activities will be allowed.
Since the beginning of February in the Crimea daily recorded no more than 200 cases of infection. In general, since the beginning of the pandemic, 34,000 cases of coronavirus infection have been detected on the peninsula.
Restrictions on mass and entertainment events in Crimea were introduced for the New Year. The declared measures were valid until February 1, then were extended until March 1.
Now there is a ban on corporate parties, entertainment events, banquets, including on the territory of hotels, sanatoriums, SPA centers. The occupancy of halls in cinemas and theaters, the number of participants in excursion groups are limited.
In February, food courts and nightclubs were allowed in the region. From March 1, banquets, corporate parties, weddings, event events, concerts, holidays are allowed in Crimea.
Of the restrictions will remain the requirements for the placement of tables with respect to distance and disinfection of premises. The mask regime on the peninsula is not going to be canceled yet: according to Aksenov, residents and guests of the peninsula will have to wear masks in public places at least until the end of the year.
According to tour operators, Crimea will not experience problems with tourists for a long holiday weekend in March, already now sales of tours to the peninsula are 1.5 times higher than the volume of 2020. Holidays in Crimea in February and March are profitable: hotels and sanatoriums offer promotions and discounts up to 30-35%.
