Kuzbass: it is planned to open industrial tourist routes
The Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) will help Kuzbass in the development of industrial tourism within the framework of the signed cooperation agreement.
ASI will provide Kuzbass with its methodological recommendations on the organization of industrial tourism, will coordinate the development of new production excursions, including interregional ones.
Head of ASI Svetlana Chupsheva: Industrial tourism is not limited to the walls of some industrial enterprise, production. Together with travel agencies, we build routes, small businesses and the hospitality industry are involved. And a new, independent unit of the economy is being created, a new industry that can generate income, create jobs, attract tourists to the territory. And the most important thing is the opportunity to learn the stories of people, the stories of heroes.”
The region has experience in organizing industrial tours, for example, at JSC "Kuzbassrazrezugol" (KRU, the enterprise of the UMMC raw materials complex), tourists can visit the "Kedrovsky" section as part of a tour to the iconic places of Kuzbass. There they are introduced to modern coal mining technology and the experience of the enterprise for biological land reclamation.
Some enterprises, including JSC "Kuzbassrazrezugol", JSC "SUEK-Kuzbass" and "Azot" (part of JSC "SDS Azot") have developed excursion routes, about 15 organizations form them, and after testing ASI will send them to local authorities.
