Experts shared information on the demand for vouchers in the current epidemiological situation
Domestic tour operators do not record refusals from purchased tours amid the growing threat of the spread of coronavirus and the appeal of the mayor of Moscow with a request to strengthen security measures.
This was told by the Executive Director of the Association of tour operators of Russia (ATOR) Maya Lomidze.
Older people in Moscow from Monday recommended to limit visits to crowded places. Sergey Sobyanin last week also called on residents of the capital to comply with the mask-and-glove regime, and employers to transfer employees to remote mode as much as possible.
Maya Lomidze: “We do not understand how the situation due to the growth of COVID-19 diseases will affect tourist demand. So far, there are no refusals from already purchased tours. I think they won't. People will either go on vacation or take advantage of the possibility of rescheduling the trip if the epidemiological situation worsens.”
