The Governor of St. Petersburg proposed to legalize tours on the roofs
Governor St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov instructed to work out the issue of organizing excursions on the city roofs.
“Today it takes on the character of chaos, tours on the roofs still carry out, everywhere advertising. Unauthorized excursions should be stopped, this should be made normative and safe.”
The governor instructed to work out this issue in the near future, the head of the KGIOP Sergey Makarov with the participation of State Duma deputy Yevgeny Marchenko, who made this initiative.
We need to talk to the owners, develop a program, this is a good offer. The city really looks beautiful from certain heights, the head of the city said.
Makarov noted that in the city there are examples of equipped excursion platforms on the roofs by agreement with the HOA, since most often the roofs do not belong to the city.
In 2019, the issue of unauthorized tours on the roofs was discussed, and the head of the city reported that video surveillance systems were introduced in St. Petersburg ceremonial halls, attic floors would be protected.
In 2018, the Committee for the Development of Tourism of St. Petersburg was developing legal tour routes on city rooftops for the World Cup, and this proposal was supported by deputies of the Legislative Assembly.
