Rostourism and car sharing companies intend to join forces to create and promote new tourist routes in the cities of Russia, in which users can travel, including by rented car.

The parties intend to support each other in popularizing and increasing the availability of domestic road tourism and city breaks.

“Independent tourists, when visiting major tourist cities, choose car sharing as a convenient means of transportation, replacing a personal car. This makes it possible to visit interesting places quickly, comfortably and at an affordable price, or, for example, organize your own transfer from the airport to the hotel and back. We are pleased that car-sharing services have also started to promote long-term rentals of their cars with the ability to travel around the country, and we are ready to support such initiatives in every possible way. Car sharing can become a popular transport for city breaks in Russia, make travel around the country even more affordable and enjoyable, said Zarina Doguzova.

According to the director of one of the car sharing companies, since 2020, the demand for long-distance trips has increased: at the end of last year, the company added the possibility of long-distance trips for users - you can leave the cities of presence of the service in any direction in Russia for a distance of up to 2 thousand kilometers.

In Rosturizm add that they are ready to cooperate with car companies, because “the development of auto tourism, including the popularization of the culture of citybreaks in the country is one of the priorities of the department.”
