Sparrow Mountains Cluster: in 2021, a springboard and ski slopes will open
In the near future, work will begin on the territory of the sports cluster "Sparrow Mountains". By the beginning of the ski season at the end of the year, it will welcome fans of all popular winter sports, said Rafik Zagrutdinov, head of the Moscow Department of Construction.
Design surveys have already been completed and a positive expert opinion has been received.
As part of the complex, two ski jumps and Big-Air snowboards will be installed and three ski slopes will be equipped, the territory will be landscaped. On the territory of the complex will open a ropeway length of about 130 m and capacity of 900 people / hour.
Ski jumps of Sparrow Mountains will meet the standards of the International Ski Federation FIS, and international competitions will be held on them. Training on the Sparrow Hills will be able to conduct athletes-alpine skiers, snowboarders, jumpers from the springboard, double athletes. In the free time of training, the descents will be available to everyone.
Earlier, the mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin said that in the coming years in Moscow will be about 30 sports facilities. And now there are about 27 thousand places for sports in the capital.
