The Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation denied the statements about the ban on movement between the regions of the country
On December 7, the media reported that the head of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko proposed to limit the movement of citizens between the subjects of the Russian Federation.
Later, the ministry denied these words – the phrase of Mikhail Murashko was taken out of context.
On Monday, the head of the Russian Ministry of Health spoke at the XII All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference with international participation "Medicine and Quality - 2020".
He suggested that restrictions on movement between entities could be considered.
“The second wave shows us that emerging foci within the country require, perhaps, consideration of certain restrictions on the movement of individuals, including between subjects ... in order to limit the spread of infection.”
The message of the head of the Ministry of health has spread in the media, but was later denied by the representative of the Ministry. Assistant Minister of Health Alexei Kuznetsov said that Murashko’s words were taken out of context, and the Ministry of Health was not going to ban the movement of Russians.
