Train "Imperial route" will be launched in the Sverdlovsk region
The press service of the Federal Railways transmits information that the tourist train "Imperial route", running along the route ekaterinburg - Alapayevsk, will be launched on the Sverdlovsk railway on February 20.
The train is designed in the corporate style of the Russian tourist project, which covers the places of stay of members of the royal family in the last years of their lives.
The Imperial Route will run on weekends on a special schedule, with a minimum number of stops.
The train leaves Yekaterinburg at 08:29 (local time), from Alapayevsk at 18:56. Travel time is 2 hours 55 minutes. For comparison, the usual suburban train Yekaterinburg – Alapayevsk runs 4 hours and 40 minutes.
Passengers will be able to take pictures in the photo zone, which simulates the interior of the times of the Russian emperor. Those who wish will try on historical costumes and listen to the story of the Romanov dynasty with the help of an audio guide.

The SVDJ clarifies that the car was acquired by JSC Sverdlovsk Suburban Company (SEC, a branch of Russian Railways) for leasing with the support of the government of the Sverdlovsk region. The Imperial Route project was implemented by the Government of the Sverdlovsk Region, the Tourism Development Center of the Sverdlovsk Region, the Sverdlovsk Suburban Company, the Elisavetinsk-Sergievsk Educational Society Foundation.
