RZD launches a new option for ticket buyers
Russian Railways launched the function of tracking the available seats on trains with tickets already sold out.
These seats are placed on the waiting list if one of the passengers has passed the ticket or when carriages are added to the train.
The button “track tickets” appeared in the Russian Railways app in the column near the train next to the words “no seats”.
The Russian Railways explained that if a passenger did not find a ticket for the desired date and direction, he can choose the option of tracking tickets and the system will tell when there will be free seats on sale.
The buyer can select the type of car (place cards, coupe, etc.) and the range of the ticket price, which suits him, "from" and "to". If the ticket appears, the passenger will receive a push notification from the application. There is no priority among applicants for a free ticket, and the one who issues it first will be able to buy the ticket.
The option is free. The Russian Railways added that tickets can be paid with money or bonuses.
