Sochi and Krasny Polyana are waiting for guests, they will not close on the New Year

The authorities of the Krasnodar region reported that the resorts have no plans to impose restrictions on entry into the region or requirements for PCR tests when checking into hotels.

Krasnodar Krai Governor Veniamin Kondratiev said that regional authorities have no reason to close the region or Krasnaya Polyana for winter holidays.

Kuban is 27-28th in Russia in terms of the total number of coronavirus cases. Kondratiev stressed the importance of the winter ski season, noted that the region does not want to lose it.

“The simplest thing is to close. But within the framework of a difficult year, a pandemic, this will be disrespectful to all residents of the country who have already taken permits, tuned in to rest in the Red Polyana.

On January 1-10, 400 thousand tourists are waiting in the Krasnodar Territory. Additional measures have been taken to ensure the safety of vacationers, for example, contactless sale of ski passes, sanitary treatment of booths.

The governor notes that if tourists do not understand and comply with the requirements, the rules will have to be tightened. Flyers will not have to take a PCR test for coronavirus on arrival, but the region will earn observators, where they will send travelers with temperature and symptoms of COVID-19.

In the resorts of Kuban will not be held mass festivities, the working time of restaurants is limited, corporate parties are prohibited.

Cossacks will monitor the prevention of spontaneous festivities in the streets and squares of the region.
