Group excursions are allowed in the Hermitage
On August 5, Mikhail Piotrovsky, director of the State Hermitage Museum, announced that tours of the Winter Palace and the Main Staff were possible.
“We are beginning to take excursions. They will be in the main museum complex and the main headquarters. The entrances will be special. The tour will be, according to the new rules, five people. We will continue to increase this number, Piotrovsky said.
The director noted that the museum will gradually mitigate the forced measures.
Now free visits to the Hermitage by children under 7 years old are allowed, other preferential categories of citizens can visit the museum on free Thursdays every month.
