In the Crimea waiting for the growth of tourist flow after the opening of the highway “Tavrida”
The press service of the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic reports that the flow of tourists to the Crimea will grow by 10-15% after the full opening of the Tavrida highway connecting the Crimean Bridge with Simferopol and Sevastopol.
Vadim Volchenko, Minister of Resorts and Tourism of Crimea, said: This is due to the fact that new transport arteries will give impetus to the development of the eastern coast. As well as the increased capacity of the road has reduced the travel time of tourists, allowing them to visit more cities and attractions.”
The opening of a new road encourages travel by car, as it is a quick way to reach the resorts of the peninsula.
The number of tourists in the resorts of Crimea in August amounted to almost 1.5 million people, which is 40% more than in the same month a year ago. The working movement on the four lanes of Tavrida from Kerch to Simferopol was launched in July 2020.
On August 27, Russian President Vladimir Putin launched four-lane traffic from Simferopol to Sevastopol, and personally drove along the road behind the wheel of an Aurus.
For the first day after the start of traffic on the highway from Kerch to Sevastopol passed more than 30 thousand cars.
