During the tour, you will learn why the central square of Kostroma is called a “pan”, who destroyed the second Kostroma Kremlin, in whose honor the Russian Empress received patronymics, as well as the name of the most famous Kostroma girl. From Kostroma Ostrovsky we will move to Kostroma merchant, and then admire the imperial grandeur of Kostroma - the cradle of the royal house of the Romanovs. Do not ignore the modern Kostroma, which is considered the jewelry, cheese and linen capital of Russia.
We will walk along the Volga embankment, go down to the Ostrovsky gazebo, see the places where Eldar Ryazanov’s cult film “Cruel Romance” was filmed, through the arches of the Trading Rows we will pass to Susaninsky Square, the decoration of which is the majestic fire tower – one of the symbols of Kostroma. We will visit the site of the ancient Kostroma Kremlin and, at your request, we will go to the revived Epiphany Cathedral, where the most revered Kostroma shrine is kept - the Fedorovsk Icon of the Mother of God, considered the family icon of the royal dynasty of the Romanovs. Also, at your request, the tour can be supplemented by a visit to the Ipatievsky and Epiphany-Anastasiin monastery and / or the Museum of wooden architecture "Kostromskaya Sloboda".
The excursion is pedestrian, since it is a walking walk that makes it possible to feel the leisurely rhythm of life of a quiet provincial city and feel its atmosphere. Большое спасибо экскурсоводу Юлии за живой, интересный рассказ о Костроме. Она показала нам достопримечательности и поведала истории и легенды о них. Мы увидели и неповторимые Торговые ряды, и оригинальный памятник Ленину, и живописную набережную Волги. и забавные уличные скульптуры... Советую гостям города посетить эту экскурсию.

Новый Год в Костроме был прекрасен: отель, ресторан и гид по городу! Два дня мы с большим удовольствием гуляли и впитывали Кострому с Юлией. Интеллигентная, интеллектуальная, приятная во всех отношениях Юлия влюбила нас в свой город. Вся программа построена на удобном восприятии, чувствуешь и осязаешь.
