Cultural and wine tour in mountain Adjara
Description:
Beautiful, fertile land with its own traditions, culture, history. No one will be indifferent to the beauty of Adjara. And the further we move away from the sea coast, the more noticeable the landscape, landscapes, mountains become higher and steeper. There's still snow on the tops somewhere. The lush green of the foothills cuts the eye. But now we rise higher and the mighty mountains of the Shavshet ridge open before us, as silent guards stand on the defense of their edge.
Adjara has historically always been a developed region both in the field of agriculture, cattle breeding, winemaking, and in economic, commercial terms, because it is not for nothing that there is such a large number of arched bridges named after Queen Tamar, one of the branches of the Silk Road ran through Adjara.
Adjarians are very nice, friendly and hospitable people. With pleasure, they will invite a wandering traveler to their home, feed, drink and let go in peace. Ajar cuisine is a separate topic for discussion. You will definitely not try such dishes in other regions of Georgia. Shinori, Borano, Kaimagi, Nagdibora, Chirbuli, chequeli kweli – these dishes are worth trying!
As for wine, the region is at a decent level. Of the 35 varieties of wine grapes, two of them are the most common, Tsolikauri and Chhaveri. Tsolikauri is a white dry wine that is mainly drunk at large feasts, and Chhaveri - wine will charm you with its pink color, a bouquet of aroma and captivate you before you take even a sip of this Divine drink. In wino veritas!
During the tour we will visit waterfalls, arched bridges, winery where we will learn the features of the technology of Georgian wine, both by the classical European method and by the ancient Georgian, the formation of wine in qvevri. This method is listed by UNESCO as a worldwide intangible value. Georgia is recognized as the birthplace of wine, wine and winemaking, which originates, according to archaeological excavations and analysis, 8,000 (eight thousand) years ago.
Our trip will end with a lunch in the Adjara Creative Family, where you will enjoy national folklore (depending on the season, mainly in summer).
