World Travel Awards: Moscow wins two nominations
Moscow Winner of the “Best Tourist Destination in Europe, City” and “Best Tourist Destination for the Study of Cultural Heritage in Europe” nominations at the European stage of the World Travel Awards.
The capital of Russia took part in the category “The best destination of festival and event tourism in Europe”, but there the victory remained with Barcelona.
The winner was determined by voting on the official website of the award.
Graham Cook, founder of the award, said: “In 2020, a record number of users voted for the World Travel Awards ... the desire to travel has never been stronger and that the tourism industry has a brighter future in view of the global economic recovery.”
In 2019, Moscow won in the “City” category within the World Travel Awards. In 2020, the capital claims to win in this category.
The winners of the World Travel Awards will be announced at the final online ceremony on November 27.
The World Travel Awards were established in 1993 and are awarded each year after a vote. The determining parameters for determining the winner are the city security, developed infrastructure, hotel network.
