Expectations and reality: tourists shared their opinion on the quality of recreation in Russia
The Internet service for travelers Biletix conducted a survey of travelers: 1,320 people said that their expectations for a holiday in Russia coincided with reality.
21% of respondents were dissatisfied with domestic tourism, 12% had even better vacations than they expected.
Most positive impressions of Russian travelers remained from natural attractions (31%). 16 and 14 percent were satisfied with the cuisine and cultural and historical monuments. 13% of respondents were pleased with the hospitality of residents of Russian regions.
What caused the disappointment? 17% of respondents are dissatisfied with the quality of hotels in the country. 16% of tourists were dissatisfied with the environment, 15% with the state of the transport system. 14% did not like the level of service and professionalism in the hospitality sector. 7 percent were satisfied with everything.
If the borders are opened in 2021, more than half of respondents (51%) hope to travel abroad and in Russia. Only abroad, in this case, 32% of respondents plan to rest, another 14% – to travel around the country. 4% did not make a clear choice.
