Russia partially removes restrictions on the departure of citizens abroad

Russians will be able to travel abroad to care for relatives, treatment, work and study, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said at a meeting of the Presidium of the Coordination Council for the fight against coronavirus.

The relevant decrees have already been signed.

The government also allows foreign nationals to enter Russia for treatment or to care for relatives.

In order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, in March we temporarily limited the entry of foreign citizens into Russia, as well as the departure of most Russians abroad. However, we understand that life situations are different, said Mr. Mishustin.

According to the Prime Minister, the government received many appeals and the authorities decided to change the regime of restrictions for those who need to leave Russia or, conversely, get into it.

The peak of the incidence, according to experts, passed, the authorities smoothly cancel the restrictions that were previously introduced.
