How many Russians will want to return to Crimea in the near future?
The Ministry of resorts and tourism of the region investigated the opinion of the guests of the peninsula using the questionnaire “All roads lead to the Crimea”.
Since the beginning of the holiday season, from July 1, more than three thousand visitors to the peninsula took part in the survey. Questioning of guests at the resorts is scheduled until October 1.
According to the preliminary analysis of the collected questionnaires, we can say that the number of tourists who intend to return to the Crimea will be at least at the level of last year.
In the summer of 2019, more than 6 thousand travelers took part in the survey, and more than 95% of them were going to visit the peninsula again, including 48% next year, 47% in the next 5 years.
The obtained data confirm the presence of positive dynamics in the development of the tourism industry of the republic. In 2019, the share of guests visiting Crimea for the first time was 20%. This year this figure will be significantly exceeded. And thanks to the high level of return, we have extremely positive forecasts for the next season, said Vadim Volchenko, Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the region.
According to the Ministry of Resorts, in 2017, rest in the region was recommended by 60%, in 2018 - more than 70%. In 2019, 95% of tourists expected to stay on the peninsula were justified, while 21% of tourists had “exceeded their expectations”.
