Two regions of Russia develop a common route "Tver-Yaroslavia - Golden Ring puzzles"
Tver and Yaroslavl The regions intend to unite in common work to develop the route "Tver-Yaroslavl - Golden Ring puzzles".
Deputy Minister of Tourism of the Tver region Nadezhda Vyskubova: "We have experience in creating and developing interregional routes - the State Road route has been created." Now it is sold by 12 tour operators, it travels car- and motor-tourists, caravans. We want to use this experience to create a second route with colleagues from the Yaroslavl region.
Acting Director of the Department of Tourism of the Yaroslavl region Vladimir Lysenko confirmed the interest of the region in the common work: "Autotourism is only in its infancy and begins to show its potential. This work is very important for us because it solves the problem of developing our territories and supports local entrepreneurs.”
President of the National Association of Autotourism and Caravaning Sergey Lobarev said that from 26 to 28 January, the route "Tver-Yaroslavl - the puzzles of the Golden Ring" was tested: two motorhomes passed along it, the transport accessibility of objects was appreciated by experts and well-known road travelers: "This is a unique route ..." Our goal is to make it all-season. Developing the route, we can solve several problems: increase the number of overnight stays and ensure profitability for the regions.”
In the future, other regions may join the route. This list may include other cities of the Golden Ring and northern lands.
The press conference participants spoke about some disadvantages of the route: there are not enough parking lots, information materials about events and places of accommodation.
According to car expert of the Association of Autotourism and Caravaning Denis Manko, the most significant drawback is the quality of roads.
The route is rich, interesting, many historical sites, beautiful places of entertainment, but... The road leaves much to be desired. Motorhomes have a fairly rigid suspension, and each hole was sensitive. Let us hope that the transfer to federal ownership (Tver-Kalyazin-Yaroslavl roads) and the inclusion of the expert community in the work on the project will make the road better, said Manko.
According to him, there are few sanitary stops, roadside multifunctional complexes, problems with cellular communication, there are not enough gas stations.
