What hotels are allowed to open in the Krasnodar region?
In the Krasnodar region, a step has been taken to open a full-fledged holiday season: from June 12, the ban on moving between municipalities was lifted in the region and hotels with a capacity of up to 50 rooms were opened.
While all this is done for local residents, the quarantine remains in the region until June 21.
The Krasnodar Krai’s chief of staff for coronavirus control said that several important decisions have been made that affect the tourist season. So far, they concern intraregional tourism.
Since June 12, the permit for movement between municipalities has been abolished.
By pre-registration, visitors will be able to enter museums, earn non-food markets on the street. Business events of up to 50 people are allowed. You can open shopping centers up to 3000 square meters.
From June 12, hotels can operate up to 50 rooms. The head of the region Veniamin Kondratiev stressed that local residents will go to the sea and “they need somewhere to stay for rest.”
V. Kondratiev noted that the external tourist flow to the region is growing: 10,000 people arrived in Sochi in the first 10 days by air transport.
The quarantine was extended until June 21: entry is restricted to visitors from other regions. Mask mode is maintained, social distance must be observed.
From other regions in the Krasnodar region allowed tourists arriving on sanatorium holidays with documents, including a negative test for coronavirus.
The decision to open up to 50 rooms is now geared towards locals. At least until June 21, the end of the quarantine. As Kondratiev stressed, there are no plans to extend the quarantine in the region.
The opening of small hotels is the first stage for the resumption of the regional hotel sector. “Let the big hotels watch the small hotels open. We have enough hotels and 300-400 rooms, and God forbid, they will also open.
According to V. Kondratiev, sanatoriums successfully work in the region, and their experience will be needed for other accommodation facilities.
