Quarantine in Krasnodar region extended, but there is a chance to partially save the season

In the Krasnodar region, the quarantine was extended until June 21. All those who come to the region without a sanatorium ticket and certificates are waiting for the observators.

Tour operators believe that the season can be saved by announcing the opening dates of hotels.

According to the recommendations of Rospotrebnadzor, the authorities of the Krasnodar Territory decided to continue quarantine in the region until June 21. This measure is explained by sanitary doctors by the fact that in recent days a lot of tourists come to the region, and this increases the risk of infection.

Until June 21 in the Krasnodar region there is a ban on booking hotels and hotels on the coast. Only institutions of the sanatorium and resort complex with a medical license will be able to accept tourists, which are allowed to resume work from June 1 (201 facilities in the region).

According to Governor V. Kondratiev, the rules of 14-day self-isolation remain for all nonresidents. The exception is tourists coming on a sanatorium-resort tour and with a set of documents (negative test for “covid”, certificate of epidural, sanatorium-resort card). Observators work in the region until June 21.

Identify those who arrived in the region for rest will continue at the entrance to the region (145 traffic police stations), at the airport, at railway stations. Mobile groups will continue to “catch” violators of the quarantine regime.

Until June 21 in the Krasnodar region closed inter-municipal transport links, there is a pass mode. Shopping and entertainment centers are closed.

Separate relaxations: from June 6, parks, embankments, public places will open. The governor noted that the beaches will be opened, which will receive the approval of Rospotrebnadzor.

Tour operators, commenting on the decision of the Krasnodar authorities, say that it came as a surprise.

“On the one hand, there was no catastrophe. We did not expect hotels to open until June 20. Another thing is that the dates of the resumption of hotels are still unknown. This prevents both tour operators and hoteliers and tourists from planning further work. People simply do not understand what dates they can take a vacation and go to the resort, says the director of the tour operator Dolphin S. Romashkin.

If the terms of the reopening of hotels were announced, it would be a signal to hotels to prepare, and tourists to book a holiday.

If June is lost for mass tourism in Krasnodar resorts, then the more important task is not to lose July.

According to the expert, the Krasnodar Territory is a kind of “fluger” for other resorts of the country. The faster tourism is “freezed” in the Kuban, the more active the process will be in other regions.

Tour operators, along with tourists, are preparing to re-book tours scheduled for June for later dates.

According to Mr. Romashkin, the opened sanatoriums "weather" in the market do not: "This is still not mass tourism, besides, with the required certificates and existing restrictions, not everyone will want to go for recovery." Few are ready to spend all days of rest in a sanatorium and not go to the city <...> until the end of June, the load of working sanatoriums will not exceed 25%.
