Named domestic destinations - leaders in the sale of tours with cashback

St. Petersburg became the region where tour operators offered the most tours with cashback in the framework of the sale organized by Rostourism.

Sale of tours in Russia with cashback began on August 21 and will last until the evening of August 28. In up to five days on this card will come cashback in the amount of up to 20% of the cost of the trip.

Press Secretary of the Russian Union of Travel Industry (RST) Irina Tyurina: St. Petersburg once again confirmed the status of the host city: tours to the northern capital offered 112 tour operators. The second place is shared by Crimea and Tatarstan, tours there are offered by 101 tour operators. On the third – Kaliningrad region (92 proposals). Moscow, which in recent years has been actively competing with St. Petersburg, did not enter the top three, taking fourth place with 88 proposals.

Krasnodar region took the fifth place - tours there offered 81 tour operators.

Irina Tyurina believes that the leading position of the Crimea is due to the fact that in the autumn in the south of Russia is popular not beach, and excursion vacation.

In the top 10 in terms of the number of offers of tour operators were Karelia, Stavropol Territory, Irkutsk region, Altai Republic, Altai Territory.

The last places on this indicator are occupied by the Jewish Autonomous Oblast and Magadan Krai, Komi, Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Omsk Oblast.

“It is interesting that among the tour operators offering tours to the regions there are very few local companies. For example, out of 40 companies offering travel to the Novgorod region, there is not a single Novgorod. The same is true in the Vologda region - none of the 23 tour operators are local. 56 companies are invited to the Altai Territory, but only 4 of them are local.

Rosturizm reports that about 2 thousand tour operators and hotels participate in the sale. As of Thursday tours bought 50 thousand Russians for 900 million rubles. In total, the government allocated 15 billion rubles for the implementation of the program designed to support domestic tourism after the coronavirus pandemic.
