The Russians shared their plans for vacation

Biletix polled Russians to find out where our compatriots would like to go in the near future, how to use their holidays?

The vast majority of residents (87%) are going to resume travel in the second half of 2020.

65% say they are ready to go on vacation, 20% are going to visit relatives and friends. Another 7% of Russians told about plans to go on a business trip. The most popular travel destinations are Sochi, Simferopol, Mineral Waters, Barcelona, Kaliningrad.

According to analysts, the coronavirus pandemic had little effect on the preferences of Russians in the format of travel. 80% of respondents are not going to reduce the duration of the trip, 90% consider the plane the most comfortable mode of transport for travel.

Biletix noted that the recovery of demand for travel in Russia is ahead of schedule. Experts predicted the recovery of the volume of sales of tickets for planes and trains to 50% of the level of 2019 by the end of 2020, but by July, the volume of sales of air tickets recovered to 25%, and railway tickets to 23%.
