From July 1, 67 regions are available for tourists in Russia

After the lifting of the main restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the mass tourist season in the Russian Federation will begin with the fact that from Wednesday 67 subjects of the country will receive guests from other regions.

Zarina Doguzova, head of the Federal Agency for Tourism, said earlier that from July 1, 67 regions of the Russian Federation can receive tourists in compliance with the necessary safety rules.

Now, for travel to most regions and when checking into a hotel or sanatorium, you do not need a certificate, but you need to comply with the basic safety requirements.

Earlier, Russian Prime Minister Mishustin recognized the tourism sector as one of the most affected in the situation with the COVID-19 pandemic, but also very promising in the future. The potential of tourism in Russia is very high, and in modern conditions is of strategic importance.

Rosturizm insists that the safe and gradual launch of the 2020 tourist season can contribute to the industry’s recovery from the crisis by the spring of 2021.
