What is the dynamics of the recovery of demand for the resorts of the Caucasian Mineral Waters and the cost of recreation in health resorts?

Of the 124 sanatorium-resort institutions in the region, 28 sanatoriums have been restored, 34 will open from June 22 to July 15, and 62 after the complete lifting of restrictions.

Until the beginning of July, more than 1,000 vouchers have been booked in sanatoriums. In the Stavropol Territory until July 1, there is a quarantine: sanatoriums accept holidaymakers with certificates about the absence of coronavirus and epidural disease.

Demand for sanatorium holidays in KMV is restored slowly: a fifth of all health resorts are open, and the need to receive certificates and bear additional costs for them frightens tourists.

Alena Gromova, director of the domestic market of Coral Travel: the growth of bookings is for races from July 15, then it should become seasonal: “In August-October, there is usually a tight load in many sanatoriums, this period is a high season for KMV.”

The Association of Health Tourism (AOT): if there is no deterioration in the epidemiological situation, demand will recover by August, and the dynamics will continue in the autumn.

According to tour operators, there was no increase in prices for rest in the health resorts of KMV, the pricing policy of the sanatoriums was formed at the beginning of the season for the whole of 2020: “At the moment, prices remained at the same level, except for 3-4 sanatoriums.”
