Rubric "Urals vs Maldives" (or geological-geographic trip)

09:01 – I understand that yesterday’s “friendship” with the butcher was superfluous, scraping myself out of bed. Flying to the first floor, along the way I inform my parents that I am going to Usva.

Usva, or rather its famous outside the Perm region attraction Usvinsky pillars is located about 5 km from the village of Usva, on the right bank of the river of the same name.

***

It’s raining hard, where are you going again?
If it rains hard, I'll clean the house.
- Who's gonna do the potatoes?
- So you said it would rain hard.

***

09:45 – My favorite taxi is served.

***

09:30 (meanwhile) - Lena, we left.
- All right, I'm up.

10:48 - (on Lenck's display) - Are you still going?! Anka and I are on our way.
10:54 - met girls from Perm, went around and bought in two shops, Lena is still on her way. We start betting as long as it takes.

***

11:05 - unload the brake discs with pads (which you will not do for the sake of the hike).

***

11:30 Polazna-Usva, Lenka has a baptism of battle for a long distance.
By the way, the distance is only 150 km from Polazna (Perm-Usva 190 km).

That same promised rain caught us not reaching Chusovoy, but almost at the very beginning of the journey to the poles left alone, with every minute the weather improves, but the girls managed to twist a couple of axels on the dirt after the rain and land according to all the rules of figure skating.

- Is that it?
- That's it, the last piece left.

- So, when is this dirt going to end?
- All right, we're coming.

The route to the poles is considered one of the easiest. Going through the village of Usva towards the village of Shumikhinsky, you need to drive over the bridge, to your left there will be a small parking lot, where many begin their hike. Having taken everything you need, pay attention to the railway bridge, it is under it that you will have to pass to get to the desired path. So you will walk about 5 km and find yourself at the foot of the cliff, where you have to climb a steep climb of 100-150 meters.

We go on a straight and dry road, companies come across a meeting every now and then.
Why are such nice ladies without men?

Greetings to everyone and a nice smile in return.

***

Travelers in summer and winter come here to enjoy the beauty of these places, to see the sites of the ancient man, by the way, on the way to the top there is one of the largest grottoes in the local region.

Stolbova's grotto. According to scientists, it was the parking lot and workshop of the ancient inhabitants of these places, this is evidenced by the remains of weapons, alloys, fires found at excavations. Researchers believe that signal lights were lit at the top of the grotto in ancient times.

100 meters later: a chic view of Usva, Devil's finger, and on life somehow begin to look differently.

***

The stone massif with a length of several kilometers and a height of about 120 meters was recognized as a natural landscape monument of regional importance in 1965.

In the limestone deposits were found prints of brachiopods, ancient corals, and other fossils, which leave no doubt that many millions of years ago there was a sea.

***

While everyone gets excited about what is happening, I notice that Lenka has something that is not glued, plans change literally on the go, and this evening I still have a geological faculty at home.

***

When we took a lot of pictures on the very first observation deck, we go to the highlight of the route.

Damn finger. A rock about seventy meters high seems to have separated from the main massif, demonstrating inaccessibility, thereby challenging the most avid fans of climbing and mountaineering.

Devil's finger got its name for many successful and not so successful attempts to conquer it, which ended in injuries and accidents. But despite this, the rock does not leave anyone indifferent.

***

Lenka's dedication to motorists on the way back continues, sun in the eyes, dog, empty gas station.

***

Happy but tired, we make pizza and cookies.

***

07:30 – (20.06) doorbell, flying into the corridor. Parents.

- Shh, we got company!
Mom turned to Dad.
- Shh, we got company!
After doing their business, they leave tactfully and quietly.

I'm going to bed because I have an hour left.

Usvinsky Pillars is one of the most famous sights of the Perm region, which can be easily reached at any time of the year. There are many options for traveling: a personal car, blah-blah-car, a trip with a travel agency and even a simple intercity bus.

Also in the village there is a hotel that will help you organize a weekend trip (for example: Saturday - Usvinsky pillars, Sunday - Stone City).

P.S. When you start going on a trip, take care of the super company, snack, proper equipment (very often the path to the foot is dirty after the rains, it is better to wear rubber boots or stock up on an additional pair of sneakers to immediately change into clean and dry after the hike), and of course do not forget photos and video equipment. Photos will be a nice bonus from this trip.
