New rules of rest in sanatoriums: certificate of absence of COVID is not required

Rostourism convinced Rospotrebnadzor of the need to cancel certificates about the absence of coronavirus for those coming to the sanatorium and resort treatment, but one document for settling in the sanatorium remained.

Sanatoriums were the first to open the tourist season in Russia: health resorts earned from June 1, but it was possible to take vacationers in accordance with the recommendations of Rospotrebnadzor only upon presentation of a certificate about the absence of a “covide”, epidorage and a sanatorium-resort card.

Tourists had difficulty obtaining certificates, and had to incur additional costs, so people canceled or postponed their reservations.

As the epidemiological situation in the regions improved, hotels were opened. To enter hotels, tourists no longer need to show documents, and sanatoriums with hotels were in an unequal position.

Rosturizm called the requirements for certificates for coronavirus “excessive”.

Rospotrebnadzor canceled the requirement to present vacationers in sanatoriums certificates of a negative test for coronavirus. Now you need a document on the absence of contact with the infected within 14 days before arrival.

Other benefits: sanatoriums can accommodate up to two people in one room who do not live together and are not members of the same family.

Masks are required only in enclosed spaces where there are people. Group procedures are possible taking into account social distance.

We welcome the decision of Rospotrebnadzor to cancel the certificates. This step will allow the majority of sanatoriums of the Krasnodar Territory to open, and tourists from different regions of Russia to come to the resorts of Kuban, Stavropol, Altai Krai for recreation, said D. Bogdanov, director of the sanatorium "Knowledge".

According to the expert, due to strict prescriptions of sanitary doctors, including the requirement of certificates for the absence of coronavirus, 60% of health resorts have not opened in the region.

Experts of the tourism industry believe that the cancellation of certificates for coronavirus will allow sanatoriums to restore demand for their services.
